Q: What is Military Power all about?
A: Military Power is a website about anything and everything having to do with the military of any country."

Q: What are the rules for Military Power?
A: The rules for the site are currently very limited, but if this is abbused more will be added.  The rules can be found in the Courtmartial Offences section, but I will post a general list here.
First and foremost, always follow OPSEC or the equivilent for the country you are in.
    Second, do not plagarize.
Third, is generally be civil to one another.
And lastly, due to the fact I have not put age limitations on the site, be honest about your age, and post in such a way as to keep younger members in mind.

    Q: What is OPSEC?
A: OPSEC (Operational Security) is the way the U.S. handles keeping harmful information away from the enemy and has strict rules, the following is the basic gist of them: The Ten OPSEC Points:

    1. Don’t discuss current or future destinations or ports of call.
    2. Don’t discuss current or future operations or missions.
    3. Don’t discuss current or future dates and times of when Marines will be in port or conducting exercises.
    4. Don’t discuss readiness issues and numbers.
    5. Don’t discuss specific training equipment.
    6. Don’t discuss people’s names and billets in conjunction with operations.
    7. Don’t speculate about current or future operations.
    8. Don’t spread rumors about current, future, or past operations or movements.
    9. Don’t assume the enemy is not trying to collect information on you; he is.
    10. Be smart, use your head, and always think OPSEC when using email, phone, chat rooms and message boards.

In general, if it will cause people to be killed, don't discuss it.
Please follow OPSEC (or the equivilent for your country) on this site.

Q: What are the ranks and how do I get higher in rank?
A: The ranks are based on the U.S. Army's ranks (sorry for those in another branch). To get higher in rank requires posting. The following is the breakdown of how many posts are required for each rank (for the time being):

    Validating Members = Recruit
    0-1 posts - Recruit

Members with no new posts in a set amount of time - POW/MIA
    Banned Members - Dishonerably Discharged
Q: What should I NOT include on this page?
A: The most likely reason for this is that the thread is older than the cutoff date of the forum.  The way to find these "missing" topics is to go to the bottom of the listing of topics in a category and change the period of time you are viewing from.

    It should say:
Showing X of X topics sorted by _________ in ____________ from _________ [GO]

Change the dropdown box after "from" to where it says "the Beginning" and click the [GO] button.
